Efficiency

Our package designs fit more in each customer shipment (sea, truck, rail), which requires less shipments overall. Lightweight molded foam also consumes less material to produce and weighs less during its life. These aspects reduce transport cost and emissions.

Waste

Foam contains as much as 80-90% air in a given shape, so creating any shape requires much less material than other methods. Materials are also recyclable at the end of their life.

Reusable transGuard packaging reduces waste. And we work with you to recycle it at the end of its life.

EPP and EPS
Recycling

Many of our plants accept EPS and EPP for recycling. Where we do not have this capability, we work with you to identify other recycling outlets.

The best measure of the sustainability of any product is its total life-cycle impact.

Because it is so lightweight, EPS packaging reduces the carbon footprint of everything that it protects during transportation, from fresh fish and produce to refrigerators. Numerous life cycle analysis reports confirm the use of EPS packaging results in less greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, water consumption and waste than alternative materials. Ultimately, the sustainability of packaging materials is determined by how well they protect the contents inside: Every product that breaks or goes bad is waste.
